Description

The TP-Link Tapo C500 is a robust outdoor pan/tilt security camera designed to deliver comprehensive coverage of your property. Built with a 1/3-inch CMOS sensor and a fixed 3.89 mm / f2.0 lens, the camera records 1080p (1920×1080) video at up to 30 fps. It’s capable of continuously rotating 360° horizontally and tilting 130° vertically to cover large areas without blind spots.

At night, a powerful 850 nm IR LED array gives up to ~98 ft (30 m) black & white night vision, while color night vision is enabled when light is available. Noise reduction (3DNR) and wide dynamic range (WDR) improve image clarity under challenging lighting.

For storage, the C500 supports a microSD card up to 512 GB for local recording, plus cloud storage via Tapo Care. Advanced detection features include motion detection, person detection, tamper detection, customizable activity zones, and alerts with snapshots or video clips.

Weatherproof with an IP65 rating, this wired camera is built to handle outdoor conditions from -30 °C to 60 °C. Multiple mounting options (wall, ceiling, pole) allow flexible installation. Power is via a 9-12 V DC adapter. Security features include WPA/WPA2-PSK, 128-bit AES encryption, SSL/TLS, RTSP/ONVIF support.
