Description
The MikroTik CRS812 DDQ (model CRS812-8DS-2DQ-2DDQ-RM) is engineered to deliver scalable, high-throughput networking from 10 Gbps to 400 Gbps within a single, manageable platform.
It integrates 8 SFP56 ports (supporting 1/2.5/5/10/25/50G), 2 QSFP56 ports up to 200G, and 2 QSFP56-DD ports for 400G, while also retaining 2 legacy 10G Ethernet ports for backward compatibility. The QSFP56 / QSFP-DD ports support breakout modes down to 1/10/25/50G as well.
Powered by a quad-core AL52400 2.0 GHz ARM64 CPU and 4 GB DDR4 RAM, with 512 MB NAND storage, the CRS812 DDQ runs RouterOS v7 (License Level 6). Its internal switch chip is the 98DX7335, enabling line-rate switching with minimal bottlenecks.
For power and redundancy, it offers dual AC inputs (100–240 V) with hot-swap redundant power supplies, and active cooling via 4 hot-swap fans to maintain thermal performance in dense environments. The maximum power draw is 134 W under full load, and 81 W without attachments.
The ambient operating temperature is tested between –10 °C to +50 °C. Certifications include CE, EAC, RoHS, and the unit is rated IP20.
In data center or carrier networks, this device fits as a leaf / spine, aggregation switch, or backbone router. It bridges legacy 10G networks to modern 50/200/400G fabrics without multiple device silos.
