Description
The TP-Link LS1008 is a very cost-effective unmanaged switch from TP-Link’s LiteWave series, built to expand wired networks with minimal fuss. It supports eight 10/100 Mbps copper RJ-45 ports, each with auto-negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDIX so that you don’t have to worry about crossover cables or matching duplex modes. The switch operates fully in store-and-forward mode and includes IEEE 802.3X flow control and back pressure to help ensure reliability under load.
Designed for quiet operation, the LS1008 is fanless, with a simple plastic desktop casing that’s lightweight and doesn’t draw much power—about 2.64 W max. It also features Green Ethernet technology that adjusts power consumption according to link status and cable length to save energy.
The LS1008 operates well in typical residential or small business environments: 0 °C to 40 °C operating temperature, wide storage temperature range, and high non-condensing humidity tolerance. It’s ideal for connecting PCs, network printers, cameras, Wi-Fi access points, or any device that can make use of additional Ethernet ports without needing gigabit speeds.
