TP-Link EAP610-Outdoor — AX1800 Outdoor WiFi 6 AP

The TP-Link EAP610-Outdoor is a rugged AX1800 dual-band WiFi 6 outdoor/indoor access point built for challenging outdoor environments—poolside venues, cafés, campuses, parks, or building exteriors. Delivering up to 1.8 Gbps combined throughput (574 Mbps @ 2.4 GHz + 1201 Mbps @ 5 GHz) with OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and high-gain directional antennas, it supports many devices simultaneously. With IP67 weatherproofing, PoE+ and passive PoE power support, and centralized Omada SDN management, it’s designed for dependable wireless coverage where typical indoor APs fail.

Description

The TP-Link EAP610-Outdoor is a high-performance, dual-band WiFi 6 access point optimized for both outdoor and harsh indoor settings. Ideal for installations in open-air cafés, sports arenas, building perimeters, parks, or agricultural sites, it delivers enterprise-level wireless capability under severe environmental conditions.

Powered by 802.11ax technology, it offers a combined speed of approximately 1.8 Gbps (574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz + 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz), leveraging OFDMA and MU-MIMO to efficiently manage traffic from dozens of devices. The AP includes professional built-in antennas (2× at 2.4 GHz, 2× at 5 GHz), a dedicated high-power amplifier, and beamforming for extended, stable coverage. According to TP-Link, it can cover ranges up to ~200 meters on 2.4 GHz band and up to ~300 meters on 5 GHz in ideal outdoor conditions.

Hardware is built tough: the EAP610-Outdoor has an IP67-rated enclosure, supports 6 kV lightning protection, 15 kV ESD protection, and is built to resist dust, moisture, vibration, and other outdoor hazards. It supports both 802.3at (PoE+) and passive PoE, plus flexible mounting (wall / pole) with waterproof kits.

Management and deployment are simplified via TP-Link’s Omada SDN platform. Features include Omada Mesh for expanding wireless coverage without needing wired uplinks everywhere, seamless roaming (for clients moving between APs), multiple SSIDs, band steering, airtime fairness, and cloud or local controller options. Perfect for integrators or network administrators needing both performance and durability outdoors.
