Description
The TP-Link Deco E4 mesh WiFi system offers reliable whole-home wireless connectivity with modern features in a simple package. It uses AC1200 dual-band WiFi (5 GHz + 2.4 GHz) to deliver combined speeds up to ~1167 Mbps (867 Mbps on 5 GHz, 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). With TP-Link Mesh Technology, multiple Deco units work together under a single network name to provide seamless roaming as you move around the home, maintaining strong signal with minimal drop-off.
Each Deco E4 unit includes two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, which can serve as WAN/LAN, and supports both Router Mode and Access Point Mode for flexible network deployment. Parental Controls, Guest Network, QoS by device, and OTA firmware upgrades are supported via the Deco app.
While the Deco E4 excels at extending WiFi coverage, note that its Ethernet ports are limited to 100 Mbps, which may constrain wired throughput for high-speed internet plans.
