Description
The Sopto SPT-P851G-S5D is a compact, cost-effective 1.25Gbps multi-mode SFP transceiver built for short-haul optical connections. Featuring an 850 nm VCSEL laser transmitter and PIN photodiode receiver, it provides full-duplex Gigabit transmission over 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm multimode fiber with a maximum reach of 550 meters.
Designed to meet IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-SX and SFP MSA standards, this transceiver ensures interoperability with a wide range of networking devices. The integrated digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) per SFF-8472 allows real-time monitoring of operating parameters, such as optical power, temperature, and voltage.
With its LC duplex optical interface, hot-pluggable design, and low power consumption (<1 W), the SPT-P851G-S5D is easy to install and maintain in enterprise networks, campus backbones, and access switches. Rugged construction with EMI shielding ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
