Description
The Huawei eKitEngine S380-L4P1T is a versatile multi-service gateway that unifies several network roles into a single device: router, switch, PoE power source, and wireless AP controller. It is engineered for small and medium sized business environments, economic hotels, SOHO offices, and educational institutions where space, cost, and simplicity matter without compromising network capability.
This device provides 1 × GE WAN RJ45 port for upstream connectivity and 4 × GE LAN ports that support PoE+ (802.3af/at), allowing connected devices—such as access points, IP phones, cameras—to be powered directly via Ethernet. With a total PoE power budget of 50 W, it can fully power one PoE+ device or multiple lower-wattage PDs. It supports up to 200 concurrent users and can manage up to 32 eKit APs, acting as a local Wireless AP Controller (WAC), which reduces need for separate hardware or cloud license dependencies.
Physically it is compact (210 × 130 × ~35 mm), has a sturdy metal build, uses natural heat dissipation (no fans), and is powered by a 56 V DC adapter. Its energy profile remains low when PoE is not heavily used, giving typical power consumption around 7.19 W, rising when full PoE load is applied. The S380-L4P1T supports common routing functions (NAT, DHCP, PPPoE, etc.), has PoE output protection and surge protection, and meets user and environmental certs.
