Description

The Alta Labs S8-PoE is designed for users who need a feature-rich, managed switch with Power over Ethernet in a compact form. With 8 RJ-45 Gigabit ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), where 4 support PoE+ (802.3at), it delivers both data and power over Ethernet for devices like access points, VoIP phones, and security cameras. The switch delivers up to 30 W per PoE port and a total PoE budget of 60 W.

Switching performance is solid: 16 Gbps switching capacity, 8 Gbps non-blocking throughput, forwarding rate of about 11.9 Gbps. The hardware includes 8 K mac table entries, 4.1 Mbit packet buffer, energy-efficient Ethernet.

Power consumption: about 8 W when not supplying PoE; 68 W under full PoE load. External AC supply (100-240 VAC).

Management and features: cloud-based management via Alta Labs platform, Bluetooth setup, egress/ingress rate limiting, 802.1X authentication, network loop detection, and status visibility via mobile/web interface.
