Description
The Alta Labs S24-POE is a full-featured, rack-mountable PoE+ Gigabit switch designed for environments that require many powered ports plus high uplink capacity. It offers 24 RJ-45 Gigabit ports, 16 of which support PoE+ (802.3at) with a total power budget up to 240 Watts. This enables powering devices like access points, security cameras, VoIP phones, and similar equipment while maintaining performance.
It provides two SFP+ ports capable of fibre or copper connections of 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps, or 10 Gbps, giving flexibility for uplinks and aggregation. Performance specs include an 88 Gbps switching capacity, 44 Gbps non-blocking throughput, and forwarding rate up to ~65.5 Gbps.
The switch supports advanced network features: VLAN stacking, ingress/egress rate limiting, IGMP snooping, 802.1X authentication, loop detection, and cloud-based centralized management through Alta Labs platform. It includes Bluetooth for initial setup via mobile app.
Built with rugged metal casing (SGCC steel) and fitted with rack ears (and RackStud DUO studs for tool-less rack mounting), it supports both rackmount and wall-mount installation. Operating temperature is −5 to +50 °C; weight is ~3.6 kg.
