Description
The Sopto SPT-QSFP28-ER4 is a 100GBASE-ER4 Lite and OTU4 compliant QSFP28 transceiver, purpose-built for extended-reach 100Gbps Ethernet and OTN transport networks. It transmits data up to 40 km over 9/125 µm single-mode fiber, using four LAN-WDM channels (1295–1310 nm), each operating at 25Gbps and multiplexed into a single 100Gbps channel.
This transceiver is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-ER4, OTU4 (ITU-T G.959.1-40 km), QSFP28 MSA, and SFF-8636 standards, ensuring interoperability with major switches, routers, and DWDM equipment. It features digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) for real-time performance visibility and link monitoring.
With a duplex LC optical interface, hot-pluggable QSFP28 design, and low power consumption (<4.5 W typical), the SPT-QSFP28-ER4 offers reliable, energy-efficient long-haul performance. It’s ideally suited for carrier-grade 100G networks, metro aggregation, inter-data-center connectivity, and long-distance backbone transmission.
