Description

The TP-Link TL-SX1008 is an 8-port 10G / Multi-Gigabit unmanaged switch that brings high-speed wired networking to homes, small businesses, and creative studios. Each of its eight RJ45 ports supports auto-negotiation across five speeds—100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps—making it a versatile choice for both legacy devices and next-generation equipment. This flexibility makes it ideal for connecting NAS units, high-performance workstations, servers, and Wi-Fi 6/7 access points.

Built to handle demanding data traffic, the TL-SX1008 offers a 160 Gbps switching capacity with a forwarding rate of approximately 119 Mpps. It uses store-and-forward architecture with IEEE 802.3x flow control and QoS (802.1p/DSCP) for stable, efficient packet delivery. Support for jumbo frames up to 10 KB further optimizes large data transfers, such as backups or media editing workflows.

The unit’s metal chassis supports both desktop and rackmount deployment. Its smart cooling fan automatically adjusts speed to minimize noise while maintaining safe operating temperatures, even during high workloads.
