Description
The Huawei eKitEngine S220S-8P4J is engineered for small to medium businesses and deployments needing reliable PoE+ switching with future-proof uplinks. It includes 8 × 10/100/1000 Mbps PoE+ ethernet ports and 4 × 2.5 Gbps SFP ports, giving both legacy and high bandwidth fibre- or copper-wired uplink options.
The device delivers a total PoE budget of 128 W, allowing full loading of all PoE+ ports under reasonable power demands, fulfilling both IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at demands depending on connected devices. It has a switching capacity of 36 Gbps, MAC address table large enough (~16,000 entries) for typical SMB workloads.
It is fanless, uses natural convection cooling, and contains an AC internal power supply (100–240 V). The switch’s form factor is 1U rack-mountable, with metal enclosure for durability. Environmental tolerances: operating temperature -5 °C to +40 °C; storage -40 °C to +70 °C.
Enhanced management: web GUI, SSH/Telnet, VLAN tagging, link aggregation, QoS, IGMP snooping, PoE management, cloud-ready features. Ideal where multiple PoE devices are deployed (APs, IP cams), and where uplink speeds need >1 Gbps via SFP.
