Description
The MikroTik RDS2216-2XG-4S+4XS-2XQ is MikroTik’s first dedicated ROSE Data Server, built to provide a powerful combination of networking, storage, and server functionality within a single platform. Designed for enterprises, ISPs, data centers, and edge computing deployments, it enables organizations to consolidate storage infrastructure and network services while reducing complexity and hardware requirements.
At its core is a 16-core ARM64 AL73400 processor running at 2.0 GHz, paired with 32 GB ECC RAM for reliable operation in mission-critical environments. The system is optimized for MikroTik’s ROSE (RouterOS Storage Environment) platform, supporting storage services, containers, virtualization workloads, backups, and advanced network applications.
For high-speed connectivity, the RDS2216 features 2× 100G QSFP28 ports, 4× 25G SFP28 ports, 4× 10G SFP+ ports, and 2× 10G Ethernet interfaces, making it suitable for demanding storage and data transfer workloads. The server supports multiple NVMe and SATA storage devices, allowing scalable deployment for NAS, backup, object storage, and edge computing applications.
Running RouterOS v7, the platform provides advanced Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing, including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, firewalling, VPNs, VRRP, and traffic management. Combined with its storage capabilities, the RDS2216 serves as a versatile platform for modern enterprise and service provider infrastructure.
Its redundant hot-swap power supplies, enterprise-grade cooling system, ECC memory, and rackmount design ensure dependable operation in professional environments.
