Description

The MikroTik CRS804 DDQ is a high-density 400G managed switch engineered for AI workloads, high-performance computing, storage networks, and next-generation data center aggregation. Built around the Marvell 98DX7335 switch chip and a quad-core 2.0 GHz ARM processor, it delivers wire-speed switching across all ports while running MikroTik RouterOS v7.

The switch provides four QSFP56-DD ports, each supporting 400G connectivity and capable of being split into multiple lower-speed interfaces. Each 400G interface can be broken into two 200G links or used with 100G, 50G, and 40G breakout configurations, allowing the CRS804 DDQ to integrate with existing network equipment while providing a clear upgrade path to future ultra-high-speed deployments.

For management and uplinks, the CRS804 DDQ includes two 1G/10G RJ45 Ethernet ports and an RJ45 console port. Running RouterOS v7, it supports extensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities including VLANs, static and dynamic routing, ACLs, link aggregation, QoS, firewalling, VRRP, MPLS, VXLAN, and advanced traffic engineering. This allows the device to function as both a high-performance switch and a compact aggregation router in demanding environments.

The CRS804 DDQ is designed for reliability and efficient rack usage. It includes dual redundant hot-swap power supplies, dual hot-swap cooling fans, and support for the included RMK-2×10/19 bracket, which allows two CRS804 units to be mounted side-by-side in a single 1U rack space. Despite its extreme throughput, the switch maintains relatively low power consumption, making it suitable for AI labs, edge compute deployments, enterprise cores, and compact data center installations.
