The MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+ is part of MikroTik’s latest generation of Cloud Core Routers, built to deliver enterprise and carrier-grade routing performance in a compact 1U rackmount platform. Featuring a powerful Amazon Annapurna Labs Alpine AL73400 processor with 16 ARM64 cores running at 2 GHz, the CCR2116 provides significantly higher single-core performance than previous Tile-based CCR platforms, making it ideal for modern networking workloads.

The router includes 12 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 dedicated 10G SFP+ ports, providing flexible connectivity for access, aggregation, and backbone applications. Dedicated management interfaces include a Gigabit management Ethernet port and a serial console port for out-of-band administration.

With 16 GB DDR4 RAM and RouterOS v7, the CCR2116 is designed to handle large routing tables, full BGP feeds, MPLS deployments, VPN services, QoS policies, firewall filtering, traffic engineering, and complex enterprise networking requirements. Its architecture is optimized for both high throughput and low latency.
